DESCRIPTION:The 2026 CCVCA Membership Drive began the first week of January\, and shortly after that all residents received the paper membership application via their block captain. An online application also is available. For 2025 we had 210 memberships out of 477 households in Country Club View. We hope that all of you who joined last year will choose to join again this year. Your membership dues are what funds all the great activities throughout the year. Remember that fantastic ice cream social with the really cute sheep and the spectacular raffle baskets? That is only possible with the support of a lot of members. The Board has set a goal of exceeding 225 members this year – so please join and talk to your neighbors about joining\, too!

The mission of the Fairfax County Farmers Markets is to provide residents access to locally grown products and create market opportunities for area farmers and food producers. \nThe markets are strictly producer-only\, meaning that all of the farmers and producers may only sell what they raise on their farms or make from scratch. We encourage our vendors to use local ingredients in the creation of their products as much as possible. Our farmers and producers all come from within a 125-mile radius of Fairfax County\, with a few exceptions for hard-to-find products. \n\n\n\n\nFood Scraps Drop-off at the Farmers Markets\n\nIf you are interested in composting\, consider dropping off your scraps at the Fairfax County Farmers Markets! Drop-off is available at all 10 markets and is a great way to put your food scraps to good use. By dropping off your weeks’ worth of scraps at a local Fairfax County Farmers Market\, you are reducing landfill waste while also contributing to richer\, more nutrient dense soil for agricultural and landscaping purposes.* \n*We do not accept yard clippings at the Farmers Markets. DESCRIPTION:Halloween is a holiday celebrated each year on October 31\, and Fairfax County’s Halloween 2025 trick-or-treating will occur on Friday\, October 31. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain\, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. In the eighth century\, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints. Soon\, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows Eve\, and later Halloween.
