Paul A. Maltagliati Memorial College Scholarship

Applications must be submitted by April 6, 2025.

The Country Club View Civic Association (CCVCA) will award 1-year, non-renewable scholarship(s) to graduating high school senior(s) whose parent or guardian is a 2025 member in good standing of the Association by the application submission deadline. The dollar amount and the number of scholarships awarded varies depending on the funds available that year. Contributions are made by CCVCA members on the annual Membership Application and those attending events such as the Ice Cream Social.

The Paul A. Maltagliati Memorial College Scholarship is open to CCVCA seniors who are enrolling in a 4-year college/university, 2-year college, or trade or technical training. The scholarship is awarded based on academic achievement (section B), participation in school and community activities (section C), a short essay (section D), and a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee (section E).

CCVCA will give a gift certificate to the high school staff person designated by the scholarship winner(s).

B. Academic Achievement

Upload an unofficial transcript of your grades covering the first seven semesters of high school (required). You may self-report your SAT and/or ACT scores (optional). Please note: FCPS students can access their unofficial transcript in StudentVUE or submit a transcript request form.

C. Participation in High School and Community Activities

Please list your high school extracurricular activities and honors/awards (academic and non-academic). Also provide volunteer work, community service, and employment information. Describe these activities (including leadership responsibilities) and indicate your grade level and number of years of involvement.

D. Short Essay

Provide a brief description of the activity or activities that are most important to you and explain why.

E. Personal Interview

The personal interview will be conducted by a Scholarship Committee composed of members of the Country Club View Civic Association. The time for the interview will be set at the convenience of the Scholarship Committee and the applicant.

F. Submission of Application and Documents

This application must be signed and dated by the applicant and parent/guardian.
