Neighborhood Watch

Currently seeking volunteers to distribute community and safety information to neighbors and volunteer for the occasional evening patrol!

The National Neighborhood Watch program began in 1972 to assist citizens and law enforcement. The CCVCA Neighborhood Watch began in 1984 and is one of the oldest continuously operating programs in the county. The Watch encourages communities to be active in emergency and disaster preparedness, as well as assist in crime prevention. Statistics show that participating neighborhoods have a lower crime rate.

CCVCA’s Neighborhood Watch is staffed by trained volunteers. Watch Standers are given a reminder call the week before they are scheduled for duty. Currently there is a desperate need for individuals and couples willing to patrol the neighborhood for two hours, three times a year. That’s just six hours a year to help keep our community safe! At one time there were over 175 participants, but now there are less than 100–and it is getting more difficult to meet our patrol requirements. If you would like to join our team, please Contact Us with “Neighborhood Watch” in the subject line.

While crime has been low in Country Club View, everyone should be aware that it does happen occasionally. One of the biggest problems is unlocked cars. Remember to lock your car and don’t leave valuables visible!
