Our Neighborhood

Country Club View (CCV) is an established family-friendly neighborhood located in Fairfax County, Virginia. CCV has its own park with a playground, tennis court, basketball court, walking trails, and a creek. Children can walk or ride bikes to Oak View Elementary (grades K-6) and Robinson Secondary (grades 7-12). Beginning in 1967, about 470 homes were built by 5 different builders which accounts for the variety of models, layouts, and bedrooms. Use the Fairfax County Property Search and then click the Residential tab for detailed information about CCV home specifications. Over the years, homeowners have built additions and made customizations.

Originally to be called “Oak Walk,” take a look at this sales pamphlet (circa 1971). It includes the original plans and model names of one section of homes in the neighborhood–Continental, Nellie Custis, Betsy Ross, and Marth Washington.

The Country Club View Civic Association (CCVCA) encompasses the area bound by the south side of Braddock Road (Route 620), the east side of Ox Road (Route 123), the north side of Zion Road (Route 654), and the west side of Sideburn Road (Route 653). The neighborhood is about six miles west of interstate 495 and convenient to I-66 and the Fairfax County Parkway (Route 286). The Virginia Railway Express (VRE), Metrorail, and Metrobus and Fairfax Connector bus systems provide commuter transportation options.

CCV is adjacent to the recently revitalized University Mall, which provides convenient shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. University Mall Theatres is an affordable and community-oriented venue that shows bargain and first-run movies–and boasts it has the “best popcorn!” George Mason University and EagleBank Arena are nearby within walking distance. Across the street is the Country Club of Fairfax, which offers private memberships with amenities including an 18-hole golf course, swimming pools, and racquet facilities! The Workhouse Arts Center and Burke Lake Park are local favorites for families, school groups, and organizations. We are close enough to enjoy the amenities and history of Washington, DC . . . and far enough outside the beltway to live in suburbia surrounded by trees, parks, and wildlife.
