Women’s Club

The CCVCA Women’s Club members enjoy spending time together, supporting each other when in need of assistance, and making a difference in the community. From September through June, the group usually meets in a member’s home from 9:30 am to noon on the first Monday of the month. The time is filled with refreshments, a business meeting, and a program. Don’t let the name fool you–not all members live in Country Club View and men attend club events, too!

Every year the Club takes trips and tours, invites guests to speak on topics of interest, and supports charities and our community with fundraisers and by volunteering. Memorable trips include visiting the Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens; Brookside Gardens; Paradise Springs Winery; and a special tour of the Air and Space Museum. The group has enjoyed tea in Old Town Manassas; tea at the Seven Oaks Lavender Farm; and tea and a tour at the National Cathedral. Members have learned about Mary Lincoln, women’s suffrage, beekeeping, healthy living, and homeowner and phone scams.

The CCVCA Women’s Club takes pride in supporting local charities and a variety of community organizations. Members donated six single beds to Gracing Spaces, an organization that helps victims of domestic abuse. Their efforts also assisted Warrior 360; the Lamb Center; Salvation Army; Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department; Fairfax County Animal Shelter; Robinson Secondary’s All Night Grad Party; local schools with donations of books, hats, gloves, backpacks, and supplies; and a Braddock Road tree planting.
