Ice Cream Social and Scholarship Online Silent Auction

12th Annual Ice Cream Social
Sunday, September 20, 2026
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
CCV Park — 10609 Henrico Street

1st Annual CCVCA Scholarship Online Silent Auction
The CCVCA Paul Maltagliati Scholarship Fund Online Silent Auction will begin September 20 @ 8:00 pm (after the Ice Cream Social) and continue through September 27 @ 8:00 pm.

Through our Paul Maltagliati Memorial College Scholarship September fundraiser, many dollars have been raised in support of CCV students looking to further their post-high school education. This year there will be an Online Silent Auction instead of a raffle at the Ice Cream Social. The raffle became so popular that it was taking waaaaaay too much time to draw all the winning tickets. Neighbors were standing around endlessly waiting for all the many items to be awarded. It became frustrating and took away from the fun. So on September 20 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, please join neighbors and friends at the Ice Cream Social. After the social starting at 8:00 pm, please support the scholarship program by participating in the CCVCA Paul Maltagliati Scholarship Online Silent Auction through September 27 at 8:00 pm!

Donations have been wonderfully generous over the years and much appreciated. Popular items of the high-end variety for the adults and families include:

(1) tickets and gift cards — sports, theatre, movies, events, restaurant
(2) weekend getaways
(3) food or beverage gift boxes
(4) unique gifts of self — baked goods; landscaping/yard work/snow shoveling; consultation; pet sitting/babysitting; lessons (tutoring, cooking, art, music, dance, sports, computer); and car wash or power wash

Theme donations are also welcome — games, baby shower, birthday, crafts, coloring/painting, gardening, etc. Think about how you might support this important CCV tradition and contact the Ice Cream Social Committee with your idea. Also, please consider donating appealing new or gently-used items to our fun Prize Wheel activity. Thank you CCV!

Would you like to make a donation for the silent auction this year? If so, please email a photo of the item (sort of an attractive “still life”) along with a description. It will be posted on the auction site which will have a link available to CCV bidders in September. Once payment is verified after the auction, you and the winner will make arrangements for a delivery/pickup.

There were a record-breaking 62 gift baskets 🎗 🎟🎗 on display at the 10th Annual event on September 15, 2024! Sheep were grazing the grassy park area and graciously weeding for the county.

At the 8th Annual Ice Cream Social, held on September 18, 2022, all were enthralled by the alpacas. They also came to the 9th Annual Ice Cream Social that was held in conjunction with the Halloween festivities in October 2023.

The CCVCA 6th Annual Ice Cream Social (for 2020 renamed “Anti-Social”) was held on Sunday, September 20, at our own Country Club View Park! CCV volunteers and neighbors followed COVID guidelines by wearing masks, social distancing, and walking along a directional path to all the booths. Everyone enjoyed the GAMES (free throws and cupcake walks on the basketball court) and CRAFTS (rock and mask decorating by the tennis court). The Book Nook and the Plant Exchange had lots of donations as well as appreciative recipients of the free items. The popular Roaming Coyote Grille food truck was onsite. There were popsicles and Italian ice this year instead of serving ice cream cones, and neighbors donated individually wrapped baked goodies.
