Neighborhood Snapshot
Country Club View (CCV) is an established family-friendly neighborhood located in Fairfax County, Virginia. In 1966-67, construction of 45 homes began — and now there are over 470! CCV has its own park with a playground, tennis court, basketball court, walking trails, and a creek. Children can walk or ride bikes to Oak View Elementary (grades K-6) and Robinson Secondary (grades 7-12).
After a week delay, Oak View Elementary officially opened on September 9, 1968. Watch the What’s in a Name? and First Day videos to learn about the school and some historical information about Country Club View. In 1998, Oak View had a major renovation. Robinson Secondary School opened in 1971 and was named after Sgt. James W. Robinson, Jr., who served heroically in Vietnam and died on April 11, 1966.

CCV is adjacent to the revitalized University Mall, which provides convenient shopping, entertainment, and restaurants. University Mall Theatres is an affordable and community-oriented venue that shows bargain and first-run movies–and boasts it has the “best popcorn!” George Mason University and EagleBank Arena are nearby within walking distance. Across the street is the Country Club of Fairfax, which offers private memberships with amenities including an 18-hole golf course, swimming pools, and racquet facilities! The Workhouse Arts Center and Burke Lake Park are local favorites for families, school groups, and organizations. We are close enough to enjoy the amenities and history of Washington, DC . . . and far enough outside the beltway to live in suburbia surrounded by trees, parks, and wildlife.
